Undergraduate teaching
The department has a vibrant and active undergraduate teaching portfolio, delivering teaching to medical students from the University of Aberdeen School of Medicine from Years 2-5.
The teaching activities are summarised as follows:
Year 2 Urinary system lectures in urology, Foundation of Clinical Methods workshops, and e-Learning online urology case (lead: Mr. Thomas Lam)
Year 3 Urology tutorials (lead: Ms. Pam Barker)
Year 4 Ward-based placement (1 week) followed by assessment (lead: Mr. Nicholas Cohen)
Year 5 Final-Year Student Assistantship Programme in Urology, and Surgery tutorials (lead: Mr. Thomas Lam)
In addition, the department also facilitates work experience placements and clinical attachments to students who wish to broaden their experience prior to applying to medical school.
